Current event photography rates

Shutteris currently publishes event photography at ₦180,000 for two hours, ₦300,000 for four hours and ₦500,000 for eight hours. These rates provide a clear starting point for planning, while unusual schedules, travel or additional production requirements can require a custom quote.

Choose coverage based on the programme

Two hours may suit a focused ceremony or short corporate activation. Four hours can cover a longer programme, while eight-hour coverage is better suited to substantial events with arrivals, speeches, performances, group photographs and multiple programme segments.

Events we can plan around

Event photography can include birthdays, corporate functions, conferences, seminars, anniversaries, product launches, church events, naming ceremonies, baby showers, bridal showers, graduation celebrations, award nights and NGO events. The key is to share the programme rather than relying only on the event name.

What to send before the event

Provide the date, venue, expected guest count, programme, important people, branding requirements and any must-have group photographs. For corporate events, tell us whether the images are intended for press, reports, social media, websites or internal documentation.

Venue and logistics matter

Parking, access, movement restrictions, security, lighting and the distance between programme areas can affect how a photographer works. If the event involves multiple venues or late movement, include that in the brief.

Delivery priorities

If particular photographs are needed quickly for media or social posts, say so before the event. Rush delivery can require a different workflow from the standard edit and delivery process.

Match the photographer to the purpose of the event

A birthday celebration may prioritise guests, decor, cake and family moments. A conference may require speakers, branded backdrops, panel discussions, networking and sponsor visibility. A product launch may need both documentary coverage and carefully composed product or executive images.

Tell Shutteris what the images must achieve after the event. That helps the photographer balance wide establishing photographs, people, details and branded content.

Create a short must-capture list

A useful event brief can identify VIPs, award recipients, speakers, sponsors, family elders or key programme moments. Keep the list focused so the photographer can still respond to unscripted moments.

If there is a media wall, stage, exhibition stand or branded installation that must be photographed before guests arrive, include that timing in the schedule.

Coordinate photography with the event team

Share the photographer’s contact with the event coordinator or a designated organiser who can answer timing questions on the day. If the programme changes, one clear point of contact prevents confusion. For corporate events, the communications or marketing team should also identify sponsor logos, branded spaces and priority executives that need intentional coverage rather than leaving those requirements until after the event.

For multi-day programmes or events with several venues, request a custom schedule and quote so the coverage plan reflects the real production time.
